These headphones make the most sense when the room is already quiet. The Philips SHP9500 uses an over-ear, open-back design with a wired connection. The reviewed seller photos show large cushioned ear cups, an adjustable headband and an open outer grille. Philips describes the model as an open-back headphone with 50 mm drivers. That gives it a different place in our collection from compact in-ear earphones intended to fit inside the ear.

Open-back construction is a buying decision, not just a styling detail. Plan for surrounding sound to remain audible and for some playback to reach people nearby. A private desk or listening corner is a more suitable setting than a noisy commute or a shared space where quiet matters. We have not measured this listing’s sound quality, leakage or comfort. Ear-cup size, headband fit and your listening preferences still determine whether this format works for you.

Philips marks the SHP9500/00 as discontinued on its US product page. A seller may still offer remaining stock, but confirm the exact model, item condition, authenticity documentation, return terms and warranty coverage before ordering. Manufacturer information describes the model and does not verify the individual unit sold here. Check the included cable and any plug adapter against your audio source; do not assume a microphone, wireless connection or active noise cancellation is part of the package.
